1/4/2010

Well, happy new year! I know you have heard that about four million times by now but I mean it.

Our first order of business this year is to say thank you to all who attended this year's NYEEP. We had a great time, I think, and only a couple of things got broken. To those of you who brought friends, bring them again. Not just to NYEEP but other stuff as well.

Our second order of business is to get you geared up for the rest of winter. We are doing a lot of fun things so check the "What's New" page often to keep up. There is info there already, things you need to sign up for, so go do it! 2010 is going to be a great year with loads of fun so join us as often as you can.

Shalom out!

This will be the last update ever on this here website, in the year 2009. That is right, with Christmas nipping right at our heals and the new year just around the corner, there is still much to be done!

The first thing you need to do is sign up for the New Year's Eve Eve party. Go ahead and do that right now, I'll wait...

Ok, so you now that have done that remember to show up on Dec. 30th at 8pm in Fellowship hall. If you haven't already paid you $10 please bring it with you. If you are inviting friends make sure that they bring a signed permission form, no form, no bull! And by that I mean no riding the mechanical bull. You will also get a sweet T-shirt designed by yours truly! I said that last year's shirt was the best shirt I ever designed (and that is probably still true) but this one is good too. It has a cowboy on it, just wiat until you see it.

The second thing you need to do (if you're in high school) is show up to the Christmas party on Tuesday 12/22. Bring a NICE white elephant gift worth no more than $5 (when I say nice I mean it, no garbage.) Also bring a snack to share and wear a tacky Christmas sweater too.

The last thing you need to do is have a very merry and blessed Christmas. We say it every year but let us remember why we celebrate. Santa is great, trees and presents are nice but there is something more important than these. A savior is born and a new era has begun. Rmember, everywher you go you take the Christmas story with you. Be blessed, be merry and have a wonderful Christmas!

By the way, I wear a large, just in case you were wondering.

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and we all survived. Even those of you who decided to brave the malls on Black Friday. Well its back to the grind for a few weeks and then another break for Christmas. Which, by the way, means that there is a party on the horizon! N.Y.E.E.P is coming just four short weeks from tomorrow. It has been leaked that the theme was an 80's party but the planning team has gone back into the think tank and we will keep you posted if anything changes. Happy end of November everyone!

Oh, and Happy Advent!

Chris
