Air1 is a commercial-free radio station that plays 24-hours of rocking Christian tunes (like David Crowder*Band, Relient K, Skillet, BarlowGirl, and tons more! O_o) every day. They play on 100.9 FM or on their website under Listen Now. Check it out! (For those of you who like your upbeat Christian music with less head-banging, check out Air1's sister-station, 91.9 FM KLOVE!)

Do you, like me, wonder when someone will start making such internet-based bundles of geeky pleasure with Christian undertones? Do you await the day when someone makes animations with Christian messages? Do you wish that the Bible would be a key item in Final Fantasy? Well wait no longer! This guy, Patrick Majewski has created a website devoted to Flash games and animations, but all for Christ! Chris pointed me at this website a while ago, and so far these games rock, as do the animations! So the next time you feel like burning time on addictinggames.com, go to Patrick's site and play a little "Xunmato Alpha" or "-ESCAPE-" instead! You won't be sorry! You can admire Mr. Majewski's work!

This is the website that powers the verse of the day on the homepage. I also use it all the time for looking up verses. Part of a vast network of online bible resources called Gospel Communications, they boast a powerful search engine that can find words and verses in more languages and translations than I knew existed! So instead of flipping through the thousands of books of the bible looking for that one passage or verse or word, I recommend using this simple, free,and powerful search engine! Check it out!

Hey for all of you who don't know about it yet, there's a sweet alternative Christian store in the Oakridge mall called C28. The name comes from a verse in Colossians which says "Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ." Colossians 2:8 NLT The store looks kind of like Hot Topic at first glance, but it's a very cool, very Christian store filled with cool Christian T's, music, accessories, and the like. Check it out!

These guys are probably my favorite band ever. Imagine, like, The Beach Boys meet Blink 182 with Christian influences. That's how much they rock. Probably their most well-know song is "Be My Escape." On their site, you can find song samples, news about their latest album of awesomeness, and lots of information about the band. Check it out!

Best described as 50% Bluegrass, 35% Rock, 15% Techno, 100% Christian. But in their own words, "it is more than the sum of its parts. Its all working together to be a relevant force in our culture, to give hope to those who have left the church and those who have come back, to bring art back to the forefront, to reflect God's light as the moon reflects the sun. Six different people with the same goal, and six different ways to go about it."

This awesome Bay Area native band boasts deep Christian lyrics embedded in rock music, with a hint of pop. They are well known for their song in the second Chronicles of Narnia movie, their work with Habitat for Humanity, and their love of their fans. Personally, I love their song "This Is Your Life." And not just because the opening could be used as the Borg theme on Star Trek. Their own explanation for the greatest of their music's lyrics: "We've always used music as a vehicle to explore our own questions and frustrations." An Christian rock band made up of four sisters whose parents used to be musicians too, but now manage their daughters. On their site, you can find rockin' music, awesome videos, and very extensive bios, among other things. You can also chase shiny little stars around the screen!

Superchick is a band which, despite the famine name, has a very diverse set of musicians and an message accessible not just to girls. Their song, "Hold" off their latest album, is pretty hot right now. Online, you can find their tour schedule, samples of their music, song lyrics, and more info about the band.

Guess how this highly successful band started out. A youth worship band. The leader was a youth leader, just like Chris, and now he and his band are know the world over! Even so, they still lead worship for their youth group every Sunday! Their songs sound like worship music, but definitely still hang onto that youth group sound! You may have heard their song "East to West" off their latest album. You can find more info about their albums and a bunch of other stuff on their site.

The band describes itself as old school progressive rock with modern alternative flourishes mixed in, as well as touches of classical influence. And that's as good as a classification as I've heard! But even though they are hard to describe, they still rock pretty hard! "Rebirthing" was released on their Comatose album a while ago, and it's still clinging to the charts! This band's music is a little darker sounding than most Christian groups, but oddly enough, their message still rings clearly. You can learn more about them and their music on their website.
